Movember

Kereama Carmody - Master Plumbers / Masterlink Wellbeing Coach shares his update:

Kia ora team, Movember has sure come around quickly this year. This great cause supports prostate and testicular cancer as well as all things mental health for men.

Recently I went to have my warrant of fitness at the GP like a good kiwi bloke. Holy moly, my cholesterol came back high. I hadn’t been eating as healthily as I should have. This is a common health issue, and it was a good wake-up call to pull my head in and get back on track with healthier lifestyle choices.

Don’t be shy to ask your mate when they last had a warrant of fitness with the GP. If it was a while ago, encourage them to head on in for another check. Anyone over the age of 45 should be doing this annually.

I can’t grow a mo’ because it takes me about three years to produce enough facial hair! I have a lot of friends that are doing it though. Don’t be shy to start something at work for the month of November, and show your support for men’s health. Why not have a mo’ growing competition and do some fundraising for this great cause?
