Kereama Carmody - Master Plumbers / Masterlink Wellbeing Coach shares his update:

Kia ora everyone,

I hope everyone’s long weekend went well. I spend a bit of time helping people to understand The Treaty of Waitangi and its’ principles through workshops and coaching. Waitangi Day means different things to different people. For me it’s a celebration of our country’s founding document and a time to reflect the bringing together of people and cultures.

For most of us, the Christmas and New Year holiday is a distant memory as we head into 2023. One thing I’ve noticed lately is a significant increase in prices across everything, not just groceries. The inflation issue is real, and this can be stressful for people who are starting out in the trade and not yet paid a lot. If this is causing you worry and you’re struggling to make ends meet, there are some budgeting and financial management services available free of charge in most communities. If you need some help to find these services, feel free to reach out to me and I can point you in the right direction. Don’t let it get to a point where you owe a lot of money which can cause stress and worry.

I also want to reach out to the teams in Auckland, Northland, and the Coromandel in particular – although I know it’s been wet in most places in the top half of the north island. If you’ve been affected by this major rain event and need someone to talk to or want to navigate your local support services, again, please give me a call. I’m happy to have a yarn and support you where I can.

Take care, be safe and talk soon.
