The latest update from Master Plumbers, Gasfitters & Drainlayers NZ chief executive Greg Wallace.
Greg touches on the success of the Master Plumbers forum held in Wellington in early November. Great feedback was received from Association and Branch delegates on discussions held and information shared, which they will be passing on to regional members at upcoming meetings.
Registered Master Builders CE David Kelly spoke at the event and outlined developments for a new collaborative quality assurance model that would support the entire construction sector. PGDB CE Martin Sawyers also presented, with an update on prosecutions, authorisation numbers and CPD.
Greg has put out a call for qualified trainers as we look at setting the Master Plumbers Training programme for 2021. We would like to hear from anyone who has relevant training for our industry. Key areas of interest are AS/NZS 3500, Backflow, Gas Servicing, Pricing & Quoting, and Compliance. Please send suggestions to training@masterplumbers.org.nz.
The update also includes a reminder about the upcoming NZ Plumbing Conference in Marlborough which will be held in March of next year.
