The funds raised will provide Master Plumbers members with the resources, necessities, and disaster recovery aid for their businesses.

Urgent equipment

Hirepool

Hirepool are moving gear to the worst affected areas—generators, pumps, lights, diggers, dehumidifiers, fans etc. They're also purchasing more equipment and turning around gear as fast as they can. Get in touch with your local Hirepool branch (Master Plumbers members are entitled to a discount when you show your Master Plumbers membership card).

Plumbing World

Plumbing World is able to deliver generators from its Auckland and Christchurch branches. Members are asked to confirm which models they require from the list HERE. Please email Paul Flay with your orders: paul.flay@plumbingworld.co.nz

Plumbing World has also kindly agreed that their Hastings, Napier and Gisborne branches will act as distribution centres for loans and sales of urgent items offered by our members and by Business Partners who have no local presence.

Mico also have access to generator supplies. Please contact your local Napier, Gisborne or Hastings branch for orders.

Contact the Bunnings Trade instore teams or your account managers if you need support accessing urgent materials to assist with recovery efforts.

Cyclone and flood business recovery
If your business is in a place where a local State of Emergency has been declared, and you have been affected by Cyclone Gabrielle or January flooding, you may be eligible for government support to help you recover. 

Grants of up to $40,000 are to help you:

  • keep operating
  • maintain cashflow.

ACC

ACC have paused invoices to businesses in Hawke's Bay and Gisborne. If your business have been affected by the recent extreme weather, and you are concerned about your financial situation, call ACC on 0800 222 776. They can discuss available options so you can focus on what’s important. 

Wellbeing contacts

During natural disasters and times of uncertainty it’s normal to feel overwhelmed, distressed, and uneasy. Support is available, so please reach out if you or your whānau need it.

You and your staff can call Master Plumbers Wellbeing Coach Kereama Carmody FREE and in confidence during normal business hours on our Wellbeing 0800 number HERE. Kereama is a registered social worker.
