To become a Master Plumbers member, you must have been engaged in business for at least six months and have a certifying (formerly craftsman) licence. This includes licensed drainlayers who meet the PGD Board's requirements for becoming certifiying drainlayers under the new Act. Master Plumbers membership caters for everyone from sole traders to small businesses and larger employers.
Master Plumbers membership is also open to businesses, such as energy companies and city councils, who employ plumbers, gasfitters or drainlayers but who are not themselves practitioners.
The Master Plumbers membership fee is $852 plus GST per annum.

The associate membership fee is $400 plus GST per annum.

This category is open to certifying plumbers, gasfitters and drainlayers who are employed by an organisation or company that is not itself a plumbing, gasfitting or drainlaying business.
The associate employee membership fee is $150 plus GST per annum.

If you are employed by a Master Plumbers member company, you can apply for employee membership with the support of your employer.
The employee membership fee is $80 plus GST per annum.
