FAQs
Answers to some commonly asked questions about the new EcoPlumbers training programme from Master Plumbers.
The EcoPlumbers plumbing sustainability training programme replaces the previous GreenPlumbers programme in New Zealand.
Recent changes to the Australian GreenPlumbers® programme would have resulted in an unwelcome financial impact for those New Zealand plumbers who had invested in GreenPlumbers training.
As a result, Master Plumbers has launched its own unique EcoPlumbers programme, designed specifically for New Zealand.
EcoPlumbers will operate in a similar way to the previous programme, based on a number of core modules. Successful completion of these modules will entitle you to use EcoPlumbers branding in your business.
Q: I have already completed some of the GreenPlumbers core modules. Can these be cross-credited?
A: Yes! Anyone who has attended the previous modules will be cross-credited into the Master Plumbers EcoPlumbers scheme.
Q: Can I earn CPD points by completing the EcoPlumbers core modules?
A: Yes! The courses have been lodged with the PGD Board for CPD points. Participants will be assessed at the end of each module and, if successful, will earn CPD points towards their annual licence requirements.
Q: Can CPD points be back-dated to the GreenPlumbers modules I completed last year?
A: Yes! Anyone who attended GreenPlumbers modules from January 2009 onwards will be able to gain CPD points if they are assessed as being competent in the module. We will be in contact with you to explain how this assessment is to be carried out.
