Master Plumbers is proud to launch EcoPlumbers™ - a plumbing sustainability programme designed uniquely for New Zealand conditions.
EcoPlumbers will enable you to meet the growing demand by Kiwi consumers for energy- and water-efficient solutions. Great for the environment, great for your business!
By successfully completing the five core EcoPlumbers modules, you are able to become an accredited EcoPlumber. This entitles you to use the EcoPlumbers brand in your business - assuring customers that you are operating in a knowledgeable, professional manner while also meeting your obligations under the Fair Trading Act.
As an accredited EcoPlumber, you will receive:
Five core modules make up the EcoPlumbers programme. You will be assessed on completion of each module and, if successful, you'll earn CPD points from the PGD Board towards your annual licence requirements.

Hot Water from the SunHelp your customers make the right decision concerning their solar hot water options. This session covers new technology instruction including topics such as solar hot water technology, rebate information, retrofit sizing and installation. |

Energy and Water AuditsAn overview of domestic and commercial water auditing, inspections and reporting, assessment and strategies including water and energy audits of commercial/industrial and residential buildings, and creating a master plan for future improvements. |

Energy Efficiency and the EnvironmentThis session supplies comprehensive instruction that encompasses gas emissions in home and business, hot water heating, energy consumption, and decisions around choosing correct heating and cooling appliances. |

Efficient Use of Water - General BackgroundUnderstand the water cycle process and an overview of the dynamic technologies that will shape future conservation efforts including reducing household water consumption, stormwater runoff pollution and other related topics. |

Water Conservation - Technology and SolutionsThe new technologies and examples of available products that contribute to increase conservation including water efficient products, rainwater and greywater harvesting and use, wastewater treatment systems, and water treatment products. |
